Accounts and SSH keys
Sign in with an email code or a Bittensor wallet, then add an SSH public key before you rent.
Signing in
There are two ways to sign in. Both give you the same kind of account.
- Email code. Enter your email address and type in the code we send you. There is no password.
- Bittensor wallet. Use Polkadot.js, Talisman or SubWallet in your browser and sign a message to prove you own the wallet.
Signing in with a wallet also links that wallet to your account, so it can be used for TAO top-ups.
Adding an SSH key
Machines accept key login only. Password login is off. Add a public key under SSH keys before you rent, so it is installed on the machine.
ed25519 keys are recommended. If you do not have one, create it on your own computer:
Shell
# Create a key (press Enter to accept the default path)
ssh-keygen -t ed25519
# Print the public key, then paste the whole line under SSH keys
cat ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pubThe public key is one line that starts with ssh-ed25519. Paste that line only.
Account rules
Accounts used for abuse can be suspended. The Terms of service explain what is not allowed.
